Your mission

As a Forward Deployed Engineer you work embedded in our clients' teams. You go into the codebase, understand the business behind it and build the AI solution that changes how work gets done there. You make the architecture decisions, you write the code, you own the result. From day one you are hands-on at the client.

The yardstick is simple: the solution runs and is used. At Perelyn, delivery only ends with a production solution that creates business value.

What the work can look like

An international industrial company is rolling out AI across the organization, based on the Microsoft Copilot ecosystem. You translate between the business units and the technology, implement prioritized use cases, build the solutions and agents, and enable the employees to really use them in their day-to-day work. In a fast-changing AI landscape you find the answers that hold on your own, and you stay until the solution runs in production and is adopted.

Across engagements

• End-to-end ownership: architecture, implementation, deployment and the collaboration with the client's engineering team are yours.
• The best tools: you use current agentic coding and AI tools to deliver at a pace and quality that were not possible a year ago.
• Fast onboarding: every company works differently, sometimes an old IT landscape grown over years, sometimes a brand-new one. You find your way quickly and become productive without needing someone to guide you for long.
• Building reliable systems: you develop AI and agent systems that are reliable and traceable and keep people in the loop where they belong.

Your profile

• Engineering experience: about 4–8 years building and shipping production software, with a track record of turning complex problems into clean, scalable systems.
• Delivery into production: you have demonstrably brought solutions into production use and owned them (not just proofs of concept).
• AI as part of how you work: you naturally use modern AI and agentic coding tools to raise quality and pace, and you have experience with LLMs, generative AI, agents and RAG.
• Curiosity and range: you follow how the AI landscape develops, with new models, tools and methods, and bring what you learn back to the team.
• Operational clarity: you run parallel projects without losing clarity or quality, prioritize well and switch context cleanly.
• Credible on both sides: you get into a domain quickly and move confidently between business units, leadership and engineering.
• Close to the client: you like working directly at the client's site.
• Languages: fluent German and English, spoken and written.
• A plus, but not a must: visible traces of your work (open-source contributions, a side project people use, a talk or article on applied AI).
